Construction Dates

The four major units that create the 300,000 square foot complex of Washoe County Jail & Sheriff's Headquarters include: inmate programs/infirmary area, a 480-bed jail, detention support structure, and an administrative building. The 90,000 square foot administration building is a three level facility including a high-tech forensic science center, crime lab, polygraph and evidence department, offices, records, laser shooting range, training area and detective and emergency services.

Office/Administration areas are designed to accommodate change and growth into the future. Each functional office suite can be re configured or expanded within its surrounding confines, while protecting existing exit corridors and other spaces with fixed equipment.
